Upload a photo and get a soft watercolour painting back - layered transparent washes, granulating pigment and paper-white highlights - ideal for gifts, wall prints, cards and portrait keepsakes.
How the photo to watercolor painting works
Upload the photo you want painted. The tool reads its tonal structure and light, then repaints it with wet-on-wet washes, crisp accent edges, pigment blooms and cold-press paper texture, letting the composition fade softly toward the borders. Rerun with a note like 'looser and more abstract' or 'keep the face detailed' to control how painterly it goes, then download for printing.
Tips for the best results
Photos with clear light and a simple background make the strongest paintings; busy backgrounds turn muddy in wash. Say how loose you want it - tight botanical detail and loose expressive washes are very different results. For prints, ask for a lighter, airier palette; heavy saturation reads as digital rather than painted.
